Hello world!

This is my very first post! Sunday morning seems like a good time to release my blog into the world! Starting a blog is an idea that I’ve had since deciding to go back to school for nutrition and dietetics. I’m kind of starting over because I’m taking the necessary path to become a registered dietitian, but I already have a bachelors in biology and unfortunately I’m not building on that degree. To become an RD you must complete undergraduate course work and an internship, just adding the masters is not possible. This is why I call my path a little unconventional but I’m very excited to begin the didactic program this fall and get heavy into my nutrition courses!

In this blog I want to share my experience of beginning school again and going back for something that I really enjoy while working (almost) full time and keeping up with the rest of my life! I want to share recipes that I find and come up with myself, nutrition advice for feeling your best day to day and to keep training strong, and hopefully a little insight on maintaining stability in a busy life. We all know about that! I’ve already completely one year of school while working, running, and playing and what kept me human was making sure that I made time for everything that was important to me. My long term goal is to have my own private practice to help people life better lives through good nutrition, and even though that is a little ways away, I can start here and now on this blog!
